Canes/Devils - Game Four: Random Musings and Observations

- (does her best Ernest from Ernest Goes To Camp) Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww...

- Looking back on my Game One RM&O, I cannot believe I said NBC did a good job last Saturday. Afterall, they *did* show that gawdawful Stevens hit on my Ronnie...and apparently, according to a message board or two AND in addition to all of the other Stevens (AND Scott Gomez) worship, NBC showed the said hit AGAIN and/or a similar hit on Shane Willis.

- Happy, Brodey? Kind of glad that the Canes got in a goal so he wouldn't gloat about how he shut out "those horrible divers!". Hypocrite...thanks to at least one Devil pulling off that very thing Brodey whined about a couple of days ago.

- I so hope I will get the John and Tripp Show tomorrow night...probably won't though, due to OLN carrying the game too...rat farts!!

Not to perpetuate the Caniac Nation's inferiority complex/paranoia........ but.... you people may just actually have something to this bias thing.

OLN really gave the Canes the short end. I watched the 3rd period intermission and all they showed were the Devils goals. Nothing to support or provide hype for Carolina. The OLN studio crew suggested even that it was a game for Devils pride when facing elimination.

They had their chance to redeem themselves in the post-game analysis after the Sens/Sabres. They just used the same clips from Canes/Devils. Then they pumped up their game coverage only saluting the Devils for "their hopes of coming back in the series".

Or this could all just be an elaborate stunt to make people watch.

;)

It reminds me in one of the key quotes in Justice Leage Unlimited episode tonight. "Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear."

See Michael? We're not completely nuts...a little, but not completely. ;)

Other than having three Cups, Scott Stevens, and Martin, er, MarTAN Brodeur, how the heck do the Devils become such media darlings? Oh, that's right...the mediots HATE teams from...

A. "The South" (this includes California).

and

B. With the exception of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Canada.

...therefore making New Joysey the default mediot bandwagon team whenever Detroit, Colorado, New York (Rangers), and/or Philly are out of the race.

All of that said, when the Canes beat Joysey tomorrow night, watch Buffalo start getting the hype/bias machine treatment. *rolls her eyes*
